Mary Ann,
With great regret and a wonderful batch of memories, we departed your incredible Casa Martia yesterday afternoon. It was a spectacular trip. Your home is just perfect, and Martha and Jose could not have been more gracious and accommodating. I could go on and on, and I'd be more than happy to write a testimonial for the web site if you'd like. We just couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. Both your home and the town of Puerto Morelos make it nearly impossible not to relax and forget your snowbound cares, and that's just what we did.
Thank you so very much, and our two families are already strategizing to lock in the same week next year so we can start looking forward to our return immediately.

Hola Mary Ann and Steven-
Casa Martia is fabulous! We were very sad to leave the warmth of Puerto Morelos, Jose and Martha. We fell in love with PM. What a wonderful town with great food, people who embraced you and a sense of comfort that we have not found anywherelse.
Casa Martia was larger than the pictures as you said. There was ample room that everyone slept so comfortably and the "boys" were very happy on there side of the house! A beautiful house, lovely view and the ocean and the sound of the waves all made for a perfect vacation.
Martha was so warm and wonderful to us. She was most gracious in all ways and a fabulous cook and a spotless housekeeper. I would love her recipe for guacamole. She is invaluable to have around.
Jose always had a smile for us. It was amazing that we could actually communicate with each other. He was so helpful in many ways, always respected our privacy and took care of whatever needed tending to at the house.
Thank you so much for sharing your house with us and a very, very special part of the world.
We hope to return one day to Casa Martia and Puerto Morelos...we are in love with both!

"We found Casa Martia on the internet, so we weren't quite sure what to
expect. We were more than pleasantly surprised to find that it was even
better in person than we thought it would be. There were 3 couples on this
trip, so the 3 master suites were ideal... all with large, private
bathrooms and their own balcony. The kitchen was set up well and cooking
was easy. We were glad not to have to go out for meals all the time.
Jose, the caretaker, made sure everything was just right and made sure to
lock up when we forgot. Marta, our contact and housekeeper, did a fabulous
job. Besides keeping everything clean, she was a great help in booking
snorkeling trips. It was really nice to have a local to point us in the
right direction when we wanted to do something.
We did enjoy the town a Peurto Morelos for dining, but truly spent most
of our time at the casa pool and walking the beach. It was a beautiful
place to relax. We'll be back!"

"Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful, fantastic time we
had last week at Casa Martia. It was more than we ever expected,
the website and pictures you sent me does not do your place justice!
It was absolutely perfect we didn't want to leave! I
may have been converted from a resort girl to a private house girl. Martha
and Jose were just great!
We found the log book and each one of us made
an entry. We went
to PM twice, Playa once and Cancun once, other than that we never left
the house. Between the 4 of us we must have taken over 250 pictures
even got up early a couple of mornings to watch the sunrise and got some
great pictures of that. I took a great picture of Jose and the
dogs and would like to send it to him, can you provide me with that info?
Again,
thanks so much for working with us on renting the house. We
hope to plan another trip next year, or sooner if we can all swing it!"

“When we arrived at Casa Martia last week, I stepped out of the car
in awe. Even though I had seen pictures, the beauty was beyond
my wildest imagination. I stood there looking at the house, pool,
trees and ocean and the peacefulness filled my body, deep into my soul…as
I walked through the house tour with Martha I knew this would be a vacation
I would never forget. Actually I never wanted it to end.
We had
a wonderful time and Martha and Jose were so much a part of that. We
felt safe the whole time, even when the girls were there alone….It has
already been decided that we will be back, but next time we are staying
two weeks.”

“I just want to tell you that it was the best vacation our family ever
had…the trip was sheer magic! There is so much to do in the area! The
more adventurous of us were thrilled with those opportunities. But
we all loved ‘coming home’ to Casa Martia where we could really relax
and enjoy each other in beautiful, comfortable surroundings. That master
bedroom is the best room I have ever slept in! I woke up every
couple of hours just to enjoy the sounds of the wind in the trees and
the shadows they made on the walls, not to mention the sunrise!
Jose and Martha were wonderful. It really was heaven on
earth. We have told everyone about it.

“We got back last night from Casa Martia. We had the most wonderful
time. Got some much needed rest and relaxation. My husband
slept so much he thought he was over medicated from his Paxil. Come
to find out it was just Casa Martia. His favorite spot was under
the palms near the beach. Jose found him asleep all the time.
Jose was great and so was Martha. Somehow we communicated with
him with my very limited Spanish and his hand movements. Jose turned
out to be a great amigo to us.
Puerto Morelos was something of a surprise. It is so quaint and
clean. Most Mexican towns for that size do not look that good and
the little grocery store was great.
…If we can’t come to Casa Martia (for our next vacation) we will
stay home. It was hard returning to the real world because your
Casa satisfied every sense we needed.
Thank you so much for opening your home to us. It
was PERFECT!”

“We loved staying at your wonderful home. Everything was even
better than we thought. Martha is just great. No wonder you
named your home after her (I didn’t figure that out until we were leaving).
It was very helpful having Jose on the premises and I had fun practicing
my Spanish with him!
We loved Puerto Morelos. What a great little town. We walked
there on the beach twice and drove several other times. There are
two places in PM to get your hair braided…the girl that works in Mamas
Bakery told us where to go…

“Casa Martia was just wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Martha
and Jose, per usual, have everything under control. The house
was immaculate and the grounds were very well kept. Our daughter
and her fiance had a marvelous visit as well…on Day 1 of their visit
we took him (snorkeling) right out to the reef. They loved Pelicanos
and Hola Asia (restaurants in town).
You have a lovely oasis down there
and it is always a pleasure to visit.”

“We arrived to an enormous rainbow over the sea---a rather auspicious
beginning to a heavenly vacation. We just loved Martha and Jose; they
were warm, respectful and professional—a delicate balancing act!
The house
itself is lovely, the pictures don’t do it justice. We
loved waking up in the morning to the ocean breezes, and watching the
sun rise over the ocean. The pool was larger than we expected,
and the coconut grove provided welcome shade. Jose thrilled the
kids with coconut milk, freshly harvested.
We brought our own snorkeling stuff and were glad we did---we used it
often. The boys saw a manta ray right in the ‘back yard’.
…Overall
we’d give Casa Marti a 5-Star rating, hands down! We
definitely plan to come back, maybe with friends instead of kids next
time.
